李国民博士现为美国德克萨斯大学西南医学中心教授;德克萨斯大学西南医学中心直肠癌研究中心主任;美国科学促进会会士;担任Cell Research, JBC,DNA Repair, PLOS Genetics等多种学术刊物的编委;在包括Cell, Science, Mol. Cell, G&D, PNAS, eLIFE等学术刊物发表论文80多篇,是DNA错配修复和基因组稳定性研究领域的国际权威。
报告摘要:
DNA mismatch repair (MMR) ensures replication fidelity by correcting mismatches generated during DNA replication. Defects in MMR genes lead to a mutator phenotype and cancer development. Recent studies revealed that in addition to mutations in MMR genes, histone mutations and abnormal modifications also impair MMR function. In this presentation, I will discuss our recent studies on regulation of the MMR system by histone modifications and mutations, as well as their impact on cancer.
